DESCRIPTION:The single-point density concept was finally adopted for the 2022 edition of NFPA 13\, and the area/density curves became obsolete. This change sparked an overhaul of the Modification to Existing Systems chapter in NFPA 13 and included a lot more direction for changes to systems already in service. Recent changes to NFPA 20 and to NFPA 13\, 14\, and 25 allow for the use of these devices for automated inspection and testing and distance monitoring.
