SUMMARY:Proposed Updates to NFPA 13R\, 13D
DESCRIPTION:NFPA 13R\, the Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Low-Rise Residential Buildings\, and NFPA 13D\, the Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in One- and Two-Family Dwellings\, are currently in cycle for the 2025 edition. This webinar will discuss the significant changes proposed for each document\, including correlating definitions among all three sprinkler installation standards\, a reorganization of NFPA 13D to correct extraneous sections and requirements added over several revision cycles\, and new language to help the user apply hydraulic calculation requirements. \nLearning Objectives: \n1.    Identify definitions in Chapter 3 that were modified to correlate with all sprinkler installation standards\n2.    Determine when NFPA 24 or the local plumbing code needs to be used for the installation of underground pipe in NFPA 13R installations\n3.    Locate and apply correlated and enhance sprinkler temperature-rating requirements\n4.    Identify new installation requirements for concealed spaces with fuel-fired equipment in NFPA 13D installations\n5.    Identify updates to NFPA 13D calculation worksheets \n  \n Learn More and Register\n  \nDetails:  \nRegistration Fees (per person):\nAFSA  Member Without CEU: FREE\nAFSA Member With CEU: $25.00\nAHJ Without CEU: FREE\nAHJ With CEU: $15\nNon-Member: $250 \nContinuing Education Credit: \nThis webinar offers: 0.1 CEUs\, 1.0 CPDs \nTo receive continuing education credits for the webinar\, you must do all of the following: \n\nRegister individually using your name that matches your fitter certification\, if applicable.\nConnect with your unique webinar link.\nDo not share or use someone else’s unique webinar link.\nAttend the webinar in its entirety\nRespond to each checkpoint question\nSubmit a completed evaluation form within 14 days of the webinar\n\nPlease check your time zone to ensure you connect at the right time: \n9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Pacific Time \n10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Mountain Time \n11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Central Time \n12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Eastern Time

SUMMARY:ITM of Standpipe Systems (CAL FIRE)
DESCRIPTION:This session will examine requirements for inspection\, testing\, and maintenance of standpipe systems according to the 2020 edition of NFPA 25. Presenters will discuss key equipment installed on standpipe systems and how it should be tested. Discussion will include evaluating test results\, how to classify conditions that could impact the performance of the standpipe system\, and potential changes to NFPA 25 and NFPA 14 that could impact future standpipe testing. \nLearning Objectives: \n1.    Examine current requirements for periodic standpipe system inspection\, testing\, and maintenance.\n2.    Discuss key equipment installed on standpipe systems\, such as hose valves\, pressure-regulating devices\, and pressure-restricting devices.\n3.    Identify methods of conducting flow testing of standpipe systems and hydrostatic testing of standpipe systems and fire department connections.\n4.    Analyze testing results and determine how to classify findings that may impact system performance.\n5.    Evaluate potential changes being discussed to NFPA 14 and NFPA 25 that could impact future inspection\, testing\, and maintenance of standpipe systems. \n  \n Learn More and Register\n  \nDetails:  \nRegistration Fees (per person):\nAFSA  Member Without CEU: FREE\nAFSA Member With CEU: $25.00\nAHJ Without CEU: FREE\nAHJ With CEU: $15\nNon-Member: $250 \nContinuing Education Credit: \nThis webinar offers: 0.1 CEUs\, 1.0 CPDs \nTo receive continuing education credits for the webinar\, you must do all of the following: \n\nRegister individually using your name that matches your fitter certification\, if applicable.\nConnect with your unique webinar link.\nDo not share or use someone else’s unique webinar link.\nAttend the webinar in its entirety\nRespond to each checkpoint question\nSubmit a completed evaluation form within 14 days of the webinar\n\nPlease check your time zone to ensure you connect at the right time: \n9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Pacific Time \n10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Mountain Time \n11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Central Time \n12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Eastern Time
