Updates to NFPA 14, 2023 Edition

Description: NFPA 14 Standard for the Installation of Standpipes and Hose Systems, 2023 edition, is in the final stages of the revision process, and a substantial effort was made to focus on the needs of the AHJ when it comes to specific design requirements in the standard. This presentation will discuss the new structure of NFPA 14, additional installation requirements for scissor stairs and other special arrangements, the evaluation of pumping capabilities of the fire department, and the effect on the design and pressure limitation on a standpipe system.
