This webinar will discuss the transition from aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) to synthetic fluorine-free foam (SFFF) based on new environmental regulations adopted by several states. SFFF can protect specific ignitible liquid hazards by using the prescriptive requirements in NFPA 30 Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code, FM Data Sheet 7-29 Ignitable Liquid in Portable Containers, FM Approval Guide FM5130, and the manufacturer’s installation instructions and datasheet. These systems have specific installation requirements for both water supply piping and foam concentrate discharge piping, as well as hydraulic considerations for the proportioning and discharge devices, selected that will affect foam concentrate storage and water supply capacity.
