This webinar will look at answering important questions including “How do I pretest my pump so that I pass my acceptance test with the AHJ?” and “What are the different periodic tests I should be trained to execute?”.
Fire pumps are a critical part of an automatic sprinkler system. NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection, and NFPA 25 provide requirements on the initial acceptance testing and periodic testing of this vital system component. This webinar will look at the difference between the acceptance test and the “post-occupancy” periodic tests.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:
- Identify the 4 types of centrifugal fire pumps covered in NFPA 20.
- Identify the 3 types of drivers allowed for fire pumps covered in NFPA 20.
- Locate and properly apply the different fire pump testing requirements required by NFPA 20 and NFPA 25.
