DFW AREA CHAPTER TRAINING

There is a morning seminar and an identical afternoon seminar that will cover will detail the requirements in Chapter 5 of NFPA 25 and provide a comprehensive guide for individuals involved in the performance and enforcement of the ITM requirements in the standard. The topics covered include discussion of important definitions, identification of inspection and test frequencies, and classification of deficiencies (critical/noncritical) and impairments (emergency/preplanned). In addition, participants will witness live demonstrations in AFSA’s Valve Lab.

At the completion of this presentation, you should be able to:

1. Identify the required ITM activities and frequencies required for sprinkler systems
2. Classify critical and noncritical deficiencies
3. Determine the appropriate sample sizes for sprinkler testing

Understand and apply the appropriate procedures for impairments
