WHO ARE
OUR MEMBERS
CONTRACTORS
Contractor membership is for companies that install, inspect, and/or service fire sprinkler systems.
ASSOCIATES
Associate membership is for firms that manufacture or sell automatic sprinkler devices, system components, and auxiliary equipment or provide other services to the industry.
AHJs
AHJ (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) membership is for any legal entity or person having approval authority over any aspect of fire sprinkler installations and/or installing contractors.
DESIGNERS
Designer membership is for firms whose principal activity is the development of fire sprinkler shop/working drawings and is not engaged in the physical installation, inspection, or sale of fire system components.
DESIGN FIRMS
Design firms are consulting engineering firms that specialize in designing and overseeing the installation of fire protection systems. They use their expertise in the codes and standards, local regulations, experience, and performance-based design to design safe, reliable, efficient systems that meet the needs of the building’s occupants.
FACILITY MANAGERS
A facilities manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in a building or complex of buildings, such as an office building, hospital, school, or industrial plant. Their main goal is to ensure the building is safe, comfortable, and functional.
HOW AFSA SERVES YOU
TRAINING CLASSROOM
The state-of-the-art training room provides a comfortable place for lecture-based learning or group activities. The classroom contains four displays and a Smart Board that allows for an amazing interactive learning environment.
VALVE LAB
This area will include over 20 fully functional sprinkler risers and valves. Participants will gain the skills and build their confidence through demonstrations and interactive exercises on wet, dry, preaction, and deluge systems.
SPRAY ROOM
The spray room includes numerous sprinklers installed at the ceiling, standpipe hose connections, a hydrant, and a fire pump test header. Participants will observe the different sprinkler spray patterns, and how obstructions affect the spray, and participate in how to perform proper flow tests from a hydrant, standpipe, or fire pump test header.
FIRE PUMP ROOM
This room will contain an electric-driven horizontal split-case pump being supplied by an electric-driven vertical turbine pump. Participants can view the components of a fire pump assembly and build their knowledge and confidence through interactive exercises, including no-flow and flow testing.

Live Webinars are FREE TO AFSA members.
An additional $25 fee is required to receive CEUs for the webinar.
Most webinars offer continuing education credit for each hour of instruction.
1.5 hours = 0.15 CEU
